Project overview
In 2014 and 2015, the second carriageway on the Kodasoo-Lasna sections of the Tallinn-Narva highway was reconstructed, with AS Taalri Varahaldus participating as a subcontractor. The construction value was nearly EUR 5.6 million.
The objective of the extensive repair of the second carriageway on Main Road No. 1 (E20) Tallinn-Narva highway between km 30.9 and 65.0 was to improve road condition, driving comfort and traffic safety over about 16 km on the following sections: (1) Kodasoo-Kiiu km 30.9-37.7, (2) Vahastu-Kemba km 50.3-56.3 and (3) Valgejoe-Lasna km 61.8-65.0. The works also included reconstruction of the Kodasoo II and Kiiu II overpasses. The scope included tree felling, brush removal, clearing of the road corridor, landscaping, ditch cleaning, earthworks, base and pavement construction, street lighting and modernization of traffic management equipment.
