Project overview

Phase 1 of the Kroodi grade-separated junction was carried out in 2011 and 2012, with a total value of nearly EUR 9 million.

The project included construction of Pohjaranna Road over approximately 1.8 km, reconstruction of Vana-Narva Road over approximately 1.5 km, and construction of about 1.8 km of pedestrian and bicycle paths. In addition, "Viaduct 1" was built (9 spans, total length about 200 m over the railway tracks, overall width about 16 m) and "Viaduct 2" (2 spans, total length about 60 m over Pohjaranna Road, overall width about 22 m), together with communications ducts (about 0.7 km), street lighting (about 4 km), stormwater sewerage (about 0.5 km) and foul sewerage (about 0.1 km).
