Porguvalja Interchange and Juri Distributor Roundabout

2015 and 2016.

Project overview

In 2015 and 2016, the Porguvalja interchange and the Juri distributor roundabout were built on the Tallinn ring road between km 9.7 and 11.6, with AS Taalri Varahaldus participating as a subcontractor. The project value was nearly EUR 6.4 million.

The basic layout of the Juri distributor roundabout remained unchanged. A two-lane roundabout with uniform curvature was built, and the alignments of the entry and exit lanes were adjusted. On Main Road No. 11, two lanes were built in each direction over a total length of about 2 km and separated by a concrete safety barrier. A viaduct of approximately 57 metres was also built over Main Road No. 11. The intersections of the ramps from Main Road No. 11 and the secondary roads No. 11303 Juri-Arukula and No. 11330 Jarvekula-Juri were designed as roundabouts. Other major works included construction of approximately 1 km of water and sewerage networks and approximately 9.5 km of electrical and communications lines.
