Project overview
In 2007 and 2008, the Puurmani interchange on the E263 Tallinn-Tartu-Voru-Luhamaa highway was built, with a construction value of nearly EUR 8 million.
The project included repair of the existing 43 m bridge together with local access roads and construction of a new 67 m reinforced concrete arch bridge over the Pedja River in order to remove a traffic hazard and a bottleneck on the Tallinn-Tartu-Voru-Luhamaa highway. In addition, 0.4 km of pedestrian and bicycle paths, 1.9 km of collector roads and 3.9 km of safety barriers were built, while street lighting was installed and hedges were planted.
