Project overview
In 2014 and 2015, Phase 5 of the Tartu west bypass was built, with a construction value of nearly EUR 8 million.

The project included design and construction of a 3 km section of Main Road No. 2 Tallinn-Tartu-Voru-Luhamaa from Lemmatsi Road to Lennuvalja Road as a Class I 2+2 highway together with the associated utility networks. In addition, the section included two road overpasses, one railway overpass and one pedestrian and bicycle tunnel, upgrading of the pavement structures on connecting streets and local roads, construction of the Tamme Street connector and the Lennuvalja Road section with a roundabout over approximately 4 km. The project also included about 2 km of pedestrian and bicycle paths.
